About the Artist

Ivy Ermert is a New York-based makeup artist. Her more recent credits include Makeup Design for the Ryan Murphy-produced, four-time Emmy-Nominated Netflix Docu Series The Andy Warhol Diaries, Head of Makeup for three-time Emmy-Nominated, Golden Globe-Awarded Hulu Original Series Ramy, Netflix Film’s Christmas With You, and Tracy Oliver’s Amazon/ NBC Universal Series Harlem.

Her makeup contributions in TV and film represent a diverse range of content and voice. Her work also appears internationally including film festivals Berlin, Sundance, Sundance London, SXSW, Toronto, Tribeca, and Venice.

Barack and Michelle Obama’s Higher Ground acquired rights to 2020 biographical film Worth starring Michael Keaton, Amy Ryan and Stanley Tucci, directed by Sara Colangelo; for which Ivy was Makeup Department Head and personal makeup artist to Michael Keaton. The film premiered at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival and is set for a September 2021 Netflix release honoring the twenty year anniversary of September 11th.

Worth is Ivy’s second collaboration with director Sara Colangelo since Maven Pictures’ The Kindergarten Teacher that premiered at Sundance in 2018 and won Colangelo the U.S. Dramatic Directing Award. Maggie Gyllenhaal, Gael Garcia Bernal, Michael Chernus, Anna Baryshnikov, Parker Sevak, and Rosa Salazar starred.

Ivy’s other work includes collaborations with directors Barry Jenkins, Guy Nativ, Ti West, and Mike Birbiglia; as well as Oren Moverman, and Gary Scott Thompson.
